abstract

Heart rate variability))

Abstract Many studies have been conducted on heart rate variability. Variability in the heart signal of two sequential beats is called heart rate variability (HRV). Short- and long- term variability reflects autonomic nervous system function, so that increased or decreased heart rate variability (HRV) is an indicator of human health. So, the analysis of these changes can predict sudden death...

A Novel Fuzzy Based Method for Heart Rate Variability Prediction

Abstract In this paper, a novel technique based on fuzzy method is presented for chaotic nonlinear time series prediction. Fuzzy approach with the gradient learning algorithm and methods constitutes the main components of this method. This learning process in this method is similar to conventional gradient descent learning process, except that the input patterns and parameters are stored in mem...

Heart rate variability

The last two decades have witnessed the recognition of a significant relationship between the autonomic nervous system and cardiovascular mortality, including sudden cardiac death. Experimental evidence for an association between a propensity for lethal arrhythmias and signs of either increased sympathetic or reduced vagal activity has encouraged the development of quantitative markers of auton...

[Heart rate variability].

In 1981 a study on heart rate variability (HRV) and on the neural control of the heart was published in Science. Since then, the number of papers concerning this topic has increased exponentially. Some aspects of the relationship between HRV and the neural control of the cardiovascular system are now clear, for example: a decreased SDNN (a measure of variance) during a period of 24 hours is a w...
